    The Minister was speaking as she announced the development of the Northern Ireland Domestic Aviation Kickstart Scheme (NIDAKS) which is a support scheme for airlines aimed at enhancing air connectivity with the rest of the United Kingdom following the pandemic.   She said, “Air connectivity is vital for Northern Ireland’s economic recovery. “That is why I have approved the appointment of aviation consultants who will design and develop an airline support scheme to maintain and enhance Northern Ireland’s domestic air connectivity with Great Britain this summer.    “We have engaged with our three local airports and the airlines. “NIDAKS’ aim is to support inbound tourism and business travel between Northern Ireland and Great Britain and to encourage Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the local economy.

NOV awarded contract by BW Offshore

Advertisement APL, part of NOV’s Completion & Production Solutions segment, has received a contract award from BW Offshore for the supply of a large submerged turret production (STP) system in the Barossa gas and condensate field located offshore of Australia. Located approximately 186 m (300 km) northwest of Darwin in the Timor Sea, the Barossa field features water depths ranging between 720 and 920 ft (220 and 280 m). The Barossa development consists of infield subsea infrastructure tied back to the centrally located floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. The FPSO processes high-pressure reservoir fluids for gas export to the Darwin LNG facility via a 180-m (290-km) long subsea pipeline for condensate storage and offloading.

Half a million second doses achieved | Newry Times | Latest Newry News, Newry Sport and Newry Business for Newry City

    It has been confirmed that the number of people to have received both doses of their vaccine has passed the half-million mark.     Another major landmark is also imminent, with close to one million first doses of vaccines being administered in Northern Ireland.  The latest vaccine figures are updated daily on the Vaccine Dashboard. This week has also seen the launch of a public information campaign to help ensure vaccine take-up remains strong.     Health Minister Robin Swann said, “It is hugely encouraging to see so many people already benefitting from the longer and stronger protection provided by second doses. “It is vital that people keep coming forward for their first and second doses when their turn comes.”
